BAE 146 Maintenance
10-Day Initial, 5-Day Recurrent, 2-Day Engine Run & Taxi Course
SIMCOM offers maintenance training for the BAE146 at its training center location In Orlando, Florida. On-site training can also be arranged for those customers desiring maintenance instruction at their service locations. The 10-day initial course is conducted over a two week period and includes in depth discussion of the most important maintenance issues related to BAE 146 airframe, engines and avionics. If conducted at the customer’s location, 5-10 hours of hands-on instruction are included, using the actual aircraft to demonstrate specific servicing and routine maintenance procedures.
The 5-day recurrent maintenance training course for the BAE 146 is available for those customers already familiar with maintaining the aircraft or for those who have completed a 10-day initial training course. Major maintenance issues related to the aircraft are covered in 5 days and 40 hours of instruction, with some hands-on training if an aircraft is available.
The 2-day engine run course for the BAE 146 is for those with a need to qualify for aircraft engine runs and associated ground taxi operations. The course is conducted at the customer’s location where the actual aircraft can be used for “dry run” training. Normal, abnormal and emergency engine shutdown procedures are simulated in the cockpit as “dry run” exercises. With certain prior arrangements and approvals, actual engine starts can be performed in the aircraft.
